our mission

Through our website, AfroPresencia.org, we use video and social media to present information about marginalized Afro-descendants to the global arena.

​At our most basic level we (1) present information about the lives of Afro-descendants throughout the Americas and the Caribbean; (2) collaborate with and support other non-governmental organizations located in our areas of focus; and (3) promote the work of  activists, organizers and artists currently working on improving the lives of Afro-descendants in the Americas and the Caribbean.

As part of its mission, AfroPresencia's aim is to present various stories of injustice and inequity alongside tales of community successes in the global arena. We work with community groups who are dedicated to changing the lives of marginalized African descendants, for the better.
